1)
Preliminary discussions
If
you are thinking of ordering a guitar then this is where it starts. I
will listen to your ideas, advise and answer all your questions, I
will also be able to give you a price for your instrument at this stage
should you want to proceed.
2)Design
stage
Having
decided to go ahead with your instrument I now require a 10% deposit,
this is a holding deposit and secures a place on my building schedule,
it also tells me you are committed to the project.
Now
the designing of your guitar begins, this can take as long as you like
untill we are both happy with all the details of your instrument.
3)Construction
Before
building begins I now ask for 1/3 of the total price to be paid in
advance, after which construction will commence. The time taken to
build your instrument depends on various factors such as waiting lists
and complexity, but I will be able to give you a good idea of a delivery
date at the time of ordering.
During
the construction phase customers are usually in regular communication, I
encourage and enjoy this dialogue.A second payment is required at the
halfway stage of building. The balance is then payable on completion and
you can collect the guitar from my workshop or I can deliver it to you
anywhere in the world.
4)Satisfaction
All
Dalmedo guitars are covered by a limited warranty to the original owner,
it is also very important to me that you are delighted with your chosen
instrument and it will only be ready when it is perfect.
5)
Draw backs
Most
customers find after playing their custom guitar, that any other
guitars they have in their collection seen unplayable, or it just
does'nt have the tone! and eventually end up replacing them with another
Dalmedo custom guitar.
